SpikeTM ("we", "us", or "our") operates the BrinePulse mobile application (the "App"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our App.

Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:

- Authentication tokens — used to keep you signed in securely
Device & Sensor Data
When you pair a BrinePulse hardware monitor, we collect:
- Salt level readings — distance measurements from your sensor (salt depth, percentage)
- WiFi signal strength — for connectivity diagnostics
- Device IP address — for local network communication
- Device name — the name you assign to your monitor
Push Notification Tokens
If you enable push notifications, we store a device push token to deliver salt level alerts to your phone.
Usage Data
We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or behavioral tracking data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the BrinePulse service
- Send you salt level alerts and notifications (only when enabled by you)
- Authenticate your account securely
- Sync your sensor readings across devices
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a SOC 2 compliant cloud infrastructure provider. All data is:
- Encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS)
- Encrypted at rest (AES-256)
- Stored in the United States
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
We use the following third-party services to operate the App:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- Expo / Expo Push Service — push notification delivery (expo.dev/privacy)
- Firebase (Google) — push notification infrastructure for Android (firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
- Apple — push notification infrastructure for iOS and Apple Sign In (apple.com/privacy)
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Opt out of push notifications at any time in the app Settings

6. Children's Privacy
BrinePulse is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
